These are my thoughts about a number of things that I wish to share. It starts as an experiment so if you like something, let me know or it might go away.

In this blog, I intend to comment on current events, explore principles and discuss books I am reading. But my primary intent is to relate experiences. I've read a lot, seen a lot, and done a little. I hope that others can be entertained, enriched and even enlightened by the experiences I share.

I welcome comments, but will moderate them for at least a while. Beyond Blogger's criteria, I won't allow ad hominem attacks against me or anyone else commenting here.

The name is a homage to Marcus Aurelius, whose Meditations continues to be one of the great literary works of our civilization.
